Activity #7 Constellations

Hello astronomers, welcome back!

Here you have your next challenge:


  1. What is a constellation? Which is their origin (who discovered them)?

  2. How can we easily find the constellations? Can they help us orientate?

  3. Tell us 4 constellations (name) and add a picture.

  4. Search and summary the story behind one of them.

  5. Create a model of the constellation chosen. Be creative!

Activity #6 A Planet of the Solar System

Hi again astronomers!

It’s time for some investigation and some speaking practice! As always, follow the instructions:


PART 1. Define in about two paragraphs what the Solar System is. Also attach an image.


PART 2. Prepare the presentation on your planet

1) Check in the list which planet do you have assigned.

2) Prepare an oral presentation, you can use any software you want (power point, prezi, canva…) to help you. It has to be about 10 minutes long.

3) Summarize the information and add it to the blog post. (Use the label “solar system”).

2. Search in the internet how to create this instrument

3. Create a new post including: title, introduction, materials, procedure, results and sources

4. Bring the material and create this instrument

5. Attach your own pictures of the result

Activity #4. Big bang, the origin and the expansion of the Universe

Hi there,

New proposal, astronomers! Now is time to investigate a little bit. Follow the steps:

1. Create a little text (2 or 3 paragraphs) explaining the origin of the Universe or Big Bang and its expansion. Use the following websites:

2. After, you have to explain the theory of the Universe’s Expansion using the following

material: a balloon, a marker and a ruler. Take different pictures of the process.


3. Use the images you have taken and this website giphy.com to create a GIF of the work done.


Steps:

a) Click create, at the right top of the screen

b) Then, “Choose photo or GIF” and choose an image

c) Under the picture, click “add more images” and “Browse files”

d) Choose the seconds of each image, write a tittle for the GIF and “enter your

captation”.

e) Then , click “Continue to upload” and “Upload to Giphy”

f) Lastly, click “Embed” and copy the code you will need to add to the post of you blog.
